In this phase, our customer works closely with an account executive to gather and organize information, photos, forms, business rules, or other items to be considered for the project. This is where the scope of the project is refined. Coordination with the customers marketing department is highly recommended to insure that the message delivered to your users supports your overall marketing plan. The deliverable from this phase is a printed document that fully describes the project content. It's called the Project Specification. It is considered a final draft of all of the text and page descriptions prior to any programming or design work being done. Of course, modifications are always allowed, but good planning up front can prevent costly re-work later on.
