Sales
Order
Entry:
Inside
sales staff are supported with order entry screens that are designed
with them in mind. Unlike the POS terminals, that are geared toward
scanning items and taking a payment, the inside sales screens allow
for advanced drill down searches on a number of critera. Sales staff
can look at on-hand availability as well as on-order quantities.
Sales terminals
can be set up on virtually any standard PC and require no additional
software installation to access the Panther system.
When sales orders
are entered, a pick list and shipper is printed for the warehouse. Warehouse
staff then scan and pack the items for shipment. A final invoice is
printed after picking and packing.
Integrated on-line
storefront capabilities (optional) and caller-ID pop-up windows (Q4,
2003) round out the order entry modules.

Proposals
and Quotes:
Advanced proposal
management is standard in the Panther system. Proposals/quotes are prepared
using customized templates and can be presented to prospects via e-mail,
on the web, by FAX or printed for mail or personal delivery.
Online or email
proposals are tracked and statistics are provided about when the proposal
was received, how long it was looked at, how many individual people
opened it, and other important facts. Panther even e-mails you when
the proposal is being viewed - giving you valuable insights as you follow
up.
Your online proposal
can also contain links to your web site or other supporting web sites
for a robust information experience for your prospect. Imagine having
all of your supporting backup right at your prospects fingertips without
having to reprint or transcribe it. Even link to video our audio clips.
Because the proposal
management system is web enabled, your sales staff can create proposals
on the road and post them for their prospects immediately.
Once your prospect
has received your proposal, a method is provided for them to forward
the proposal to others for comment and review. Comments are attached
and statisics are recorded.
If your prospect
is a reseller or distributor of your products or services, the proposal
can be modified by them and forwarded to the end customer as a quote
from the distributor. This optional module allows them to adjust price,
add company information, hide certain aspects of the quote from view.
Finally, the prospect
is given an easy action step to turn the proposal into an order! When
they accept the quote, everyone up the line is notified and order information
is fed directly into A/R, sales and project management modules.

Project
Management:
Once
the proposal has been turned into a project, your customer can continue
to use the proposal as a simple project management tool. New sections
open up to provide the customer with a trouble ticket entry system,
a task progress chart, and project review and comment.
A trouble ticket
can be entered to alert you of a problem your customer is having. An
e-mail confirmation is sent to the customer and an e-mail notice is
sent to your designated help desk staff.
In the task progress
area, the customer is presented with a chart that shows major tasks
being performed toward completion of the project or shipment of the
mechandise. Each time the task bars are updated, the customer receives
an e-mail notification with a link to this section. The task bars indicate
how much progress has been made, and if there is additional information
or approvals required from the customer.
In coordination
with the task section, the review section provides a place to post work
in progress for comment, approval or review. The customer can review
work in progress and make comments to the engineers, designers or sales
representatives.
